In the proces of melting aluminium a considerable amount of dros is produced. Especially the first melting of wheels with laquer on it. A sturdy tray on which the drossingspoon can be ticked clear is necesary. You can't put the dross somerwere else aside bcause it is as hot as the molten metal.. I used a stainless cookingpan and mounted a rest on the place of the handle. The tray is connected to the frame so it cannot tip over when the dross is ticked loose from the spoon.
