It was possible to have manual handle movement on all three axis. The wooden handleknobs on the pichture are not genuine

In time there have been quite a few modifications. I have seen 7 AI FR1 milling machines and all were different.

There was also a hydraulic driven x-axis version with an autoreverse function. And a version with 200 mm travel on the X-axis.

The horizontal axis has a mk3 arbor receptant.
Standard the machine was equipped with a 16 mm arbor and 16 mm arbor support. Optional were a 13 and a 22 mm arbor. Also optional were the 13 and 22 mm arbor supports with needlebearing.

A small and a big dividinghead were available. On the table is mounted the big one with a centerheight of 72 mm. The disk has as hole-range : 72-60-48-42

The vertikal milling head reduces the speed of the horizontal axis with 25%

The head has an MK2 toolholder. In this holder was an optional set MK2 collets available.

On the side of the vertikal millinghead is a pinholder mounted. In this holder a copy-pointer can be mounted.This device came standard with the head.

The machine-vice on the table was availble in two sizes:
65 or 105 mm width
